you play  •  we record, mix, burn & post
jamming

we need your help to create the best jams possible.   to us, that means everyone gets an equal chance to play, musicians meet new friends, and the fans hear a professional show with some variety and surprises.   let us know what a good jam means to you

to participate, just show up and talk to the person with the clipboard.   you will be given the next available time slot on stage.   duos and bands get more songs, so if you are solo, talk to us about other players you should meet

any and all styles are welcome, and mixing it up is encouraged.   cover tunes are fine, but originals and improv jams allow us to do more promotion of you on this website

all instruments are welcome, and you are welcome to bring your amp, mic or other gear.   please be aware that our tech may make adjustments to your gear (especially the volume) at any time

help us keep the show moving - so after playing, everyone has a chance of getting another time slot.   there are no secrets about how you can get more stage time, just:
  • talk to us ahead of time - we want to arrange back-up musicians for you, and they need to know something about your songs
  • tune up before you get up - we have a tuner, you have no excuse
  • if you brought your own gear, tell the tech about it ahead of time
  • get on the list to play back-up for other musicians
there is no host band, but there are session players ready and willing to fake any song in any style to fill out your sound.   there may be a headliner to get the show started, but they play by the same rules as everyone else.   the headliner and the session players start with 2 songs, and then get new players up right away

we multi-track record the show.   a CD of highlights is mixed and made available to participants 1 week later, at the next event.   also, audio clips of cover tunes, full-length mp3s of originals, and photos will be posted on this site
